Walton opens second Soldotna Edward Jones

Posted: Thursday, June 12, 2003

Indy Walton opened a second Edward Jones office in Soldotna across the Sterling Highway from Fred Meyer on Wednesday. For the past seven months, Walton has been working with Wes Roberts to serve investors throughout the Kenai Peninsula area.

"I have really enjoyed working with Wes these past several months," Walton said. "I can't thank Wes enough for all he has done for me. I'm looking forward to opening my own office."

Prior to joining Edward Jones, Walton was a business education teacher and hockey coach at Skyview High School.

He said he started investing when he was 8 years old.

"My grandfather was very frugal," he said.

He said his grandfather convinced him to begin saving money, and that is how he became interested in investing.

"I had my first investment property when I was 19," Walton said.

Walton can be reached at 260-2002.
