Twins split with Dimond

The American Legion Twins split with Dimond Sunday in Anchorage.

In the first game, the Twins won 16-0 in a game that was shortened to seven innings by the mercy rule.

Shaun Isaacs picked up the win, pitching six scoreless innings and giving up just four hits.

For the Twins, Luke Oliver was 2-for-3 with three runs and three RBIs, Jacob Lamphier was 3-for-5 with two runs and three RBIs, Kevin Epperheimer had two hits, Jordan Waters had two runs, Ethan Waters had two runs and two RBIs and Jake Bowler had two hits and two runs.

In the second game, Dimond notched a 9-7 victory in seven innings.

Lamphier took the loss, pitching 4 1-3 innings and giving up nine hits and five earned runs. Luke Oliver and Daniel Hepner each gave up two runs in relief.

On offense, Epperheimer had two runs and Ethan Waters had three RBIs.
