ANCHORAGE (AP) -- A former Anchorage legislator will work as statewide coordinator for Lt. Gov. Fran Ulmer's bid for governor.
Jim Nordlund has announced his resignation as director of the Alaska Division of Public Assistance to join the Ulmer for governor campaign.
Nordlund represented west Anchorage in the state House.
He will begin his work with the campaign Monday. Nordlund takes over for Deborah Bonito, who is leaving to become a new mother.
