HEA meeting slated

Homer Electric Association will hold a public information meeting regarding utility construction work taking place this summer in the VIP and Chinulna Point subdivisions. Chamber to discuss resource conservation

The North Peninsula Chamber of Commerce will host Mark Weatherstone from the National Resource Conservation Service today at noon at the North Kenai Baptist Church.

Youth golf clinic scheduled

The Birch Ridge Golf Course in Soldotna will hold a skilled junior golf clinic Monday through June 21. This clinic will give juniors the opportunity to play in state competition. For more information, call 262-5270.

Swim lessons to begin

The second session of swim lessons at the Kenai High School pool will begin Monday and run through June 28. Each session includes 10 days of 40-minute lessons. There is a $40 fee. For more information, call 283-7476.

SSA reps to visit peninsula

Social Security Administration representatives will be in Seward Tuesday at city council chambers from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., in Kenai Wednesday at city hall from noon to 4 p.m. and Homer Thursday at the senior citizens center from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Solstice run scheduled

The city of Kenai Parks and Recreation Department will sponsor its annual Summer Solstice 5-kilometer run and walk June 21 starting at Leif Hansen Memorial Park at 10 p.m. On-site registration begins at 9 p.m. There is a fee of $15 for adults and $10 for children under 10 years old. Willow walk to be offered

The Kenai Watershed Forum will host a willow walk June 22 with area naturalist Dominique Collet from 9 a.m. to noon starting from the Kenai Peninsula College parking lot. To register or for more information, call the forum at 260-5449.
