Military support group forming
Military families, friends and community members interested in forming a support group to help send care packages, letters of support and give encouragement to each other are encouraged to call Gina at 260-2619.
Cell phone recycling available
The Cook Inlet Keeper in conjunction with Earthworks have placed a recycling box for cell phones at Ulmer's Drug and Hardware and at its office. For more information, call (907)235-4068.
Recycling fund-raiser continues
The Soldotna Volleyball program is recycling ink cartridges as a year-round fund-raiser. Cartridges of all sizes can be dropped off at: Soldotna Public Library from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Thursday and from noon to 5 p.m. Saturdays; Central Peninsula General Hospital from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday; Heritage Place front office from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday; Kenai Peninsula College computer Room 107 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday; Marathon Oil from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday; and Soldotna City Hall from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
