Alaska Weather Summary,

Clouds covered the southern half of Alaska Tuesday and increased as the day wore on in the Interior, causing temperatures to rise and afternoon thunderstorms.

Skies were sunny in the northwest region of the state, including the North Slope. All reported temperatures are freezing or above with light winds in most places.

Rain was reported in the Southwest, including the Aleutian Islands, and over most of the Panhandle.

A weak high pressure zone continued to dominate the northern sections of the state.
