Cleanup efforts for naught without ‘slobs’

Posted: Thursday, June 14, 2007

Just a note to Ryan Mills, president of Kenai Lions Club: What a great and wonderful thing was done for the community here on the Kenai Peninsula. There were so many involved in this cleanup effort that thanks just doesn’t seem like enough. But you forgot to thank the most important ones of all. The ones without all of this “fun” would not have been possible — the slobs who threw out all that trash to begin with.

Let’s not forget the little-minded people who trash our Great Land. It’s true, some blew out of trash containers — that should have had lids. And the ravens and crows love to pick through the trash looking for food — that should have had lids.

But special thanks again to all the slobs. I guess we’ll be picking up your mess again next year, too.
