Salmon count classic announced

The Sterling Senior Center is again holding its Kenai River Sockeye Salmon Count Classic. Tickets are $2 each and can be purchased by calling 262-6808. Also, 2004 $15,000 sweeps tickets are available. Tickets are $10 each for a chance to win one of 22 money prizes between $150 to $7,500. A prime rib dinner for two comes with each ticket. The drawing date is Aug. 21.

Luau planned

The Soldotna Senior Citizens Center will hold a Hawaiian luau from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday. A Hawaiian meal, Hawaiian entertainment, door prizes and a raffle for two bear viewing tickets will be available. Tickets are $18 for adults, $10 for children 12 and under and are available in advance. For more information or to make reservations, call 262-2322.
