State motocross series lands in Kenai
The state motocross and quad racing series will make a stop in Kenai this weekend, with state races Nos. 3 and 4 Saturday and Sunday at Twin Cities Raceway.
Early sign-ups are Friday from 7 to 9 p.m.; race day sign-ups are 7 to 8 a.m. Racing starts at 10 a.m. on both days. Admission is $5 with children under 12 admitted free; the entry fee for competitors is $20 per class and all riders must pay the gate fee regardless of age.

Hackett tops in pole bending
Chelsey Hackett posted the top pole bending time of the day during a competition on June 7. Hackett won the 1D competition and Amber Davis won the 3D competition in the open class; and Sara Jensen, Brittney Morris and Nathan Carrico were winners in the youth class.
