Benefit planned for today

A clambake, spaghetti feed and Chinese auction benefit will be held today at the Rainbow Bar at 2 p.m. Donations will be requested to help Sandra Shilson with medical expenses for cancer treatments. For more information, call 283-9929.

Board meeting to be held

The Central Kenai Peninsula General Hospital Service Area Board will meet Monday at 5:30 p.m. in the Iliamna room at the hospital. For more information, call 262-9892.

Monthly meeting planned

The monthly meeting of the Kenai Peninsula Chapter of Alaska Independent Blind will be Monday at 7 p.m. at the Fireweed Medical Center at 247 Redoubt in Soldotna. This meeting will feature a speaker from CARTS. For more information, call 262-7061.

Swimming lessons set to begin

The second session of swimming lessons begins Monday at the Soldotna High School swimming pool. Classes are held Monday through Friday and cost $40 for 10 lessons. Preregistration is recommended. For more information, call 262-7419.

Soccer camp planned

A soccer camp sponsored by the Boys and Girls Club of the Kenai Peninsula starts Tuesday for children 6 to 18 years old. For more information, call 283-2682.

Chamber meeting scheduled

The Soldotna Chamber of Commerce meeting is Tuesday. Jim Kuhnsman of Parents Inc. will speak at noon at the Riverside House in Soldotna.

WRCC needs volunteers
