WASILLA (AP) -- A North Pole man died over the weekend from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident in Wasilla.
Robert Spear, 55, died early Saturday morning at Providence Hospital in Anchorage, Alaska State Troopers said. Spear was injured Friday morning in an accident on Wasilla-Fishhook Road, Alaska State Troopers said.
Spear was following another motorcyclist who lost control of his bike and slid off the road, troopers said. Spear lost control of his motorcycle when he tried to avoid colliding with the rider in front of him.
Spear was not wearing a helmet and sustained serious head injuries, investigators said.
