Soldotna chamber meets today

The Soldotna Chamber of Commerce's weekly luncheon meeting will feature Brett Huber of the Kenai River Sportfishing Association. The meeting begins at noon today at the Riverside House in Soldotna. For more information, call 262-9814.

Kenai chamber meets Wednesday

The Kenai Chamber of Commerce will hold its weekly meeting at noon Wednesday at Paradisos. There will be two guest speakers: John Parrott of Totem Ocean Express, whose topic will be Totem's two new vessels and how they enter into Alaska's trade, and Joel Gilbertson, Commissioner of Health and Social Services, regarding the governor's budget. CPHC board plans meeting

The Central Peninsula Health Centers Inc. board of directors will meet at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday in conference room A of the Borough Building in Soldotna. The meeting is open to the public. For more information, call 262-4120.

Residents invited to speak on bridge design theme

The city of Soldotna is inviting public comment on the Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities' theme ideas for the new bridge at 6 p.m. June 25 in the council chambers at Soldotna City Hall. For more information, call Kathy at 262-9107.

Applications for Progress Days available

The Soldotna Chamber of Commerce is accepting applications for vendor space and parade entries for the 43rd annual Progress Days Celebration to be held July 26.

Help for home day-care providers

Family day-care providers in the central Kenai Peninsula area wanting information on how to be reimbursed for part of the cost of the food served should call the Child Care Food program, an office of the Women's and Resource Crisis Center, at 283-4707.
