Christian conference continues

The Kalifornsky Christian Center's final meeting for its On Wings of Eagles conference is at 10:30 a.m. Sunday at the center at Mile 17 of Kalifornsky Beach Road.

Featured speakers are Prophet Jeff Burke and Pastor Rocky Abernathy, both of Georgia, Prophet Tom Stamman of Minnesota and Pastor Daniel Garcia of Argentina.

Church dedication planned

The Funny River Community Lutheran Church will dedicate its new worship facility at 3 p.m. Sunday at the church on Rabbit Run (turn right at Mile 14 of Funny River Road.)

Pastor Jim Pearson of Sterling Lutheran Church, Pastor Ken Schauer, the Alaska circuit rider pastor, and Lay minister George Rakos will officiate. Star of the North Lutheran Church choir, under direction of Sherril Miller, will provide the music. A light dinner will follow the service.

Funny River Community Lutheran Church is a member of Lutheran Church Missouri Synod.

Solar Express planned

Soldotna Bible Chapel will host Solar Express vacation Bible school from 9 a.m. to noon Monday through June 24 at the church at 300 W. Marydale. Children ages 4 through sixth grade are eligible to attend. For more information, call 262-4865. There is no cost.

Drama troupe meeting set

Kyds Tyme, a Christian musical drama troupe, will meet from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Mondays at St. Francis Episcopal Family Church of God in Kenai. For more information, call 283-1970.

Church baseball night

Church baseball night is at 7 p.m. Monday at Coral Seymour Memorial Park. Several area churches have joined together to provide free tickets.

Athletes in Action is an evangelical Christian sports organization affiliated with Campus Crusade for Christ. This team is a member of the Alaska Baseball League and is based in Fairbanks. After the game, two members of AIA will be in the stands talking about their lives with Christ.

Tickets are available from area churches or by calling the Peninsula Christian Center at 262-7416.

Tickets are good for admission only and are not valid for any other free promotions being featured during the game.

Bible study group to meet

Nikiski Aglow meets at 9:30 a.m. Wednesdays at New Hope Fellowship at Mile 23 of the Kenai Spur Highway. It is open to area women.

Family nights set

The Soldotna Church of God will host family nights from 6 to 8 Wednesdays throughout the summer at the church at 105 W. Redoubt. Stories, games and crafts are some of the planned activities,

Clothes Quarters open

Clothes Quarters, in the back of the parking lot at 225 Spruce at Our Lady of the Angels Catholic Church in Kenai, will be open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday.

Clothes 2 Go is open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Fridays in the basement of the Nikiski Inlet Faith Church on the corner of MaGahan and Marie.
