Dukowitz, Hilleary marry in Nikiski

Courtney Dukowitz and Kyle Hilleary of Nikiski were wed Saturday, March 1, 2007, in an afternoon ceremony at the New Life Assembly of God Church in Kenai. Courtney was given away by her grandfather, Bob Dukowitz. Pastor Steve Brown officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Tammy Dukowitz of Nikiski. Courtney wore a white, form-fitting, silk gown and carried a bouquet of white lilies and purple orchids. Her maid of honor was her sister, Kaley Dukowitz, who wore a turquoise dress and carried a bouquet of white lilies. Emily Braun, the bride’s cousin, was the flower girl, and the ring bearers were Ryker Dukowitz and Hayden Dukowitz, cousins of the bride.

The groom is the son of Ron Hilleary of Nikiski and Pat Hilleary of Kenai. Kyle’s best man was father of the groom, Ron, and his ushers were Ian and Tarik Dukowitz.

The reception was held at Paradisos Restaurant in Kenai. The wedding cake was made by Pat Hilleary.

Courtney and Kyle currently are attending Kenai Peninsula College. Courtney is working toward her business degree, and Kyle is working toward his degree in petroleum technology.

The couple is lives in Kenai.

Marler, Peterson wed in California

Kari Marler and Michael Peterson of San Diego were wed Saturday, March 3, 2007, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints San Diego Temple. The couple was sealed by Kari’s grandfather, Don Marler.

The bride is the daughter of Kevin and Diane Marler of Valley Center, Calif. She wore a white, floor-length gown that laced up the back. She carried a blue rose bouquet. The accent flowers were white daisies worn in her hair, along with the veil. The maid of honor was Natalie Bongioanni and the bridesmaids were Kelli Thorson and Nicole Marler.

The groom is the son of Wade and Dawna Peterson of Soldotna. He wore a black tux with a blue vest and blue rose boutonniere. The best man was Keith Massey and the groomsmen were Shane Peterson, Matthew Peterson, Jeff Marler and Lance Thorson.

Honored guest at the ceremony were grandparents of the bride, Don and Jan Marler of Escondito, Calif., grandparents of the groom, Evan and Kolleen Peterson of Idaho Falls, Idaho, Marjorie Cleverley of Idaho Falls, and several aunts, uncles and cousins of the groom and bride from various parts of the United States.

The reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents.

The new couple honeymooned in Big Bear, Calif.
