SOLDOTNA (AP) -- An Anchorage man died when the car he was riding in flipped several times early Sunday, Alaska State Troopers said.
The accident occurred as the car was speeding north on the Sterling Highway. Driver Matthew Conner, 18, of Soldotna lost control of the vehicle on a curve.
Passenger Richard Brannon, 22, was killed when he was thrown from the vehicle. Conner was taken to Providence Hospital in Anchorage where he was in critical condition.
