Charles David 'Chip' Mansfield
Longtime Soldotna resident Charles David “Chip” Mansfield died Wednesday, June 14, 2006, at Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage. He was 34.
Visitation will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. Monday, June 19 at Peninsula Memorial Chapel, 5839 Kenai Spur Highway in Kenai. A memorial service will follow at 6 p.m. Monday, June 19 at Grace Lutheran Church, one block off of Kalifornsky Beach Road on Ciechanski. Pastor Thomas Schmidt will officiate. A reception with refreshments and food will immediately follow the services at the church.
Mr. Mansfield was born Feb. 25, 1972, in Anchorage. He was raised in Soldotna and attended Soldotna High School. Mr. Mansfield was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Kenai. He enjoyed snowmachining, camping, canoeing and spending time with his family.
Mr. Mansfield was preceded in death by his mother, Tressa Mansfield; and sister, Tamara Cooper.
He is survived by his wife of nine years, Sarah Mansfield of Soldotna; son, Seth Mansfield, and daughter, Chelsee Mansfield, both of Soldotna; father, Robert Earl Mansfield Sr. of Soldotna; brother, Robert Earl Mansfield Jr. of Soldotna; sisters, Victoria Ray Mansfield of Anchorage, Cheryl Mansfield of California and Cindy Hall of California; nephew ,Bobbie Mansfield of Soldotna; and niece, Aurielle Newman of Homer.
Arrangements were made by Peninsula Memorial Chapel.
