BETHEL (AP) -- Searchers continued efforts Wednesday to locate Oscar Mesak, 30, of Oscarville, who has been missing since Monday.

Mesak's wife, Olga Mesak, said her husband left their home early Monday morning after drinking, Alaska State Troopers said.

Mesak's skiff was found Tuesday near Oscarville, on a sand bar on the Kuskokwim River, about 100 feet from shore. The skiff was anchored.

Tuesday's search concentrated on the shoreline near Oscarville. Troopers said an air search of the area is expected and the Kuskokwim River will be dragged.

Oscarville, a community of about 60 people, is on the north bank of the Kuskokwim River opposite Napaskiak, 6 miles southwest of Bethel.
