Local government looks out for community’s welfare

Thank you for Support of the New Community Health Center in Soldotna.

I would like to extend my gratitude to the Borough Assembly members and a special thanks to Borough Mayor John Williams and Tim Navarre. At the last meeting they voted to support this community by allotting $50,000 to our Capital building project. As I sat with the two CEO’s of the collaborating groups, Central Peninsula Health Centers Inc and Central Peninsula Counseling Services, I thought it was unlikely that the assembly would approve our request. They diligently went about their duties for many hours, many request were turned down and many were approved. But in the end they stood behind us in our endeavors to bring affordable health care to the local community including basic preventive health, Behavior health, and Dental for adults and children. As a consumer of both these organizations and a Board member of Central Peninsula Health Centers Inc, I wanted to let the citizens of our community know that our local government knows how important this new building is to the welfare of it’s citizens. Thanks again to them all.
