We have all sat in our cars for long periods while the police and safety officials close the highways here on the Kenai Peninsula whenever there is an accident.
Am I the only one who thinks they are way, way overly cautious and close the roads completely when one lane could be left open to move traffic? About 80 percent of the time, it seems the safety officials are overreacting when closing the roads for even the most minor of accidents or when the accidents are clearly off the road and one lane of traffic could easily be left open.
I would be curious if this is a common observation.
