Fund-raiser raffle flies high

Woodcarver John Nelson, left, Heritage place resident Ginny Arnold, center, and nurse Gemma Smith are shown with Nelson's hand-carved swan. The swan was raffled off as part of the Heritage Place annual Relay for Life fund-raising efforts. The raffle raised $1,000 and helped Heritage Palace take first place in team fund-raising, with an amount in excess of $6,000.
