Peninsula PeopleFosters attend college

Stacy and Scott Foster will attend Harding University in Searcy, Ariz., in the fall. They are the children of Becky and Steve Foster of Soldotna and 2005 graduates of Soldotna High School.

Stacy was the captain of the volleyball and soccer teams and a member of the national honor society.

Scott played football, was captain of the wrestling team and was on the national honor roll.

Area students honored

Former Kenai residents Skyler K. Gallien, Nicole A. Simpson and Randee L. Wilson were named to the dean's list at University of Alaska Fairbanks.

Former Soldotna resident William J. Keller II was named to the dean's list at Virginia Military Institute. To be eligible for the list, a cadet must have a term grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale and no grade below C.

He is the son of SFC and Mrs. William J. Keller. He is majoring in history.

Former Soldotna resident David A. Thornton was named to the honor list at Grace College and Seminary in Winona Lake, Ind. To be name to the list students must have a minimum gpa of 3.0.

He is the son of Sue and Daniel Thornton.
