ANCHORAGE (AP) -- Alaska State Troopers Tuesday arrested two men and seized 182 liters of alcohol they are accused of trying to import into Kotlik, a dry community.

Anthony Prince, 45, and David T. Prince, 30, both of Kotlik, were arrested as they were about to leave the Nome small boat harbor.

They had arrived in Nome on Monday night and bought the alcohol Tuesday afternoon, troopers said.

The men are cousins. Authorities seized their boat as well as the alcohol, which troopers valued at about $27,500.

Seizures of alcohol in such large amount are rare, troopers said.
