Body of missing Oscarville man found

BETHEL (AP) -- An Oscarville man was found dead Wednesday, an apparent drowning victim.

Oscar Mesak, 30, was found dead in the Oscarville Slough shortly after 7 p.m.

Mesak was reported missing Monday evening. Alaska State Troopers said there were no signs of foul play.

Oscarville, a community of about 60 people, is on the north bank of the Kuskokwim River opposite Napaskiak, 6 miles southwest of Bethel.
