The Peninsula Oilers got off to an exciting start in Alaska Baseball League play Suunday, holding off Athletes in Action Alaska by the score of 5-4 in Fairbanks. With the win, the Oilers moved to 1-0 in league play, and are now 7-3 overall.
With AIA threatening in the ninth, second baseman Nick Kliebert threw out the potential tying run at the plate to end the game.
