ANCHORAGE (AP) -- Alaska State Troopers said human remains found Tuesday in a remote area near Thorne Bay had probably been there for quite some time.
The remains were found by a Forest Service worker. They were examined by an archaeologist who confirmed the bones were old, troopers said.
There was no evidence of foul play or any recent activity at the site, troopers said. Local tribal authorities were notified.
