ANCHORAGE (AP) — A 15-year-old Shungnak girl missing for six weeks was found dead at the bottom of the Selawik River, Alaska State Troopers said Wednesday.

Danica Cleveland, whose body was found Tuesday among the old wreckage of an airplane, had been missing since May 12, when she and two Selawik residents were reported overdue from a hunting trip.

The three were on a snowmachine that broke through the ice on the river.

The body of Lloyd Ballot, 45, was recovered the same day and the body of his 19-year-old niece, Effie Ballot, was recovered the following day.
