Bike regatta registration open

Bicyclists are asked to preregister for the 2006 Unity Bicycle Regatta slated for 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at Beaver Creek Park. Starting points are at Soldotna Bible Chapel and United Methodist Church of Kenai. The suggested registration fee of $25 per family will benefit Love INC. People may register for food and drawings by calling 283-5621 or 283-5252.

All invited to youth, family camp

All are invited to join people from all over Alaska and Yukon, Canada, for a Youth and Family Camp in Sterling Sunday through July 2. All evening services will be in a large auditorium at Mile 78 of the Sterling Highway. From Soldotna, turn left on Ross Road and follow the signs. Services for youth camp are at 7 p.m. Sunday through Tuesday. Family camp includes recreational activities from children ages 5 through 11 beginning at 10 a.m. Wednesday through July 1, along with sessions for teens and adults. Evening services with worship, special music and preaching occur at 7 p.m. Wednesday through July 1. For more information, contact Pastor Mitch Glover at 262-7240.

Community Bible school planned

The 14th annual Ninilchik all-community vacation Bible school will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Monday through June 30 at Delores and John Lindemans’ farm. Children ages 4 years through eighth grade may attend.

Treasure seekers Bible school meets

The “Adventures of the Treasure Seekers” in vacation Bible school meets from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Monday through June 30 at Soldotna United Methodist Church, 158 S. Binkley St.

Vacation Bible school to host fiesta

The Peninsula Grace Brethren Church will hold vacation Bible school from 9 a.m. to noon July 10-14 at Mile 19.5 of Kalifornsky Beach Road, across from Craig Taylor Equipment. Children ages 4 years through sixth grade are invited to a fiesta celebration, with music, games, Bible learning, crafts and snacks. For more information, call 262-6442.

Bible school takes youth to Arctic edge

“Trek to the Arctic Edge: Where Adventure Meets Courage” (TM) with vacation Bible school at First Baptist Church in Soldotna. Music, games and crafts are offered to children in kindergarten through sixth grade, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. July 10-14. For more information, call 262-4304.

Liberty Quartet to perform

All are invited to a free performance by Liberty Quartet at 7 p.m., July 21, at Sterling Baptist Church on the corner of Swanson River Road and the Sterling Highway in Sterling.
