Soldotna resident Mr. Kelly Wayne Perkins, 55, died Sunday, June 20, 2010.
Memorial services will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday, June 24, at the Soldotna Bible Chapel in Soldotna. Pastor John Rysdyk will officiate.
Mr. Perkins was born Sept. 9, 1954, to Alfred George and Mary Ann (Gehring) Perkins at the Mt. Edgecumbe Hospital in Sitka. He and his family attended The Soldotna Bible Chapel.
"The memories that Mr. Perkins formed in Sitka and Soldotna made him believe that he lived a charmed life, yet he always knew that if he didn't follow the wrong light and end up in someone's TV set, that his Heavenly existence would be more wonderful than anyone could imagine. He now shares a place in his Father's Heavenly mansion," his family said.
Mr. Perkins was preceded in death by his father, Alfred George Perkins.
He is survived by his wife, Bobbie Behrens of Soldotna; daughter, Holly Perkins of Grand Forks, ND; son, Brady Perkins of Rock Island, IL, and daughter Heidi Perkins of Soldotna; sister and brother in-law, Helen and Paul Desjardin of Homer; nephew, Brendan Desjardin of Anchorage and Bryan Desjardin of Kodiak; niece, Jenci Desjardin of Homer; mother, Mary Ann Perkins; brother and sister in-law, Kim and Jessica Perkins and their daughters, Aani and Zen; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
