COOPER LANDING (AP) -- A man from Sterling was killed Sunday morning in a motorcycle accident on the Sterling Highway.
Leelynn Chumley, 33, was riding his motorcycle southbound on the highway shortly after 1:30 a.m. Sunday when the vehicle left the highway and rolled into a ditch, Alaska State Troopers said.
Emergency workers pronounced Chumley dead at the scene. Troopers said he was not wearing a helmet.
The cause of the accident is under investigation.
