Kari Marler and Michael Peterson of San Diego were married Saturday, March 3, 2007, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints San Diego Temple. The couple was sealed by Kari’s grandfather, Don Marler.
The bride is the daughter of Kevin and Diane Marler of Valley Center, Calif. She wore a white, floor-length gown that laced up the back. She carried a blue rose bouquet. The accent flowers were white daisies worn in her hair, along with the veil. The maid of honor was Natalie Bongioanni and the bridesmaids were Kelli Thorson and Nicole Marler.
The groom is the son of Wade and Dawna Peterson of Soldotna. He wore a black tux with a blue vest and blue rose boutonniere. The best man was Keith Massey and the groomsmen were Shane Peterson, Matthew Peterson, Jeff Marler and Lance Thorson.
Honored guests at the ceremony were grandparents of the bride, Don and Jan Marler of Escondito, Calif., grandparents of the groom, Evan and Kolleen Peterson of Idaho Falls, Idaho, Marjorie Cleverley of Idaho Falls, and several aunts, uncles and cousins of the groom and bride from various parts of the United States.
The reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents.
The new couple honeymooned in Big Bear, Calif.
