Book sale success speaks volumes of community

The Friends of the Kenai Community Library had a very successful Book Sale. Thank you to all our volunteers Mary Estes, Nedra Evenson, Kelley Smith, Margaret Simon, Cliff Heus, Ron Rogalsky, Jeannine Moeller, Gwen Klawunder, Anita Necessary, Joan Corr, Rose Ann Keating, Maria Pierson, Nora Satathite, Judy Salo, Brendyn Shiflea, Sue Rorrison, Craig Jung, Tim Delaney, Tim Navarre, Bill Switzer, Richard Freese, Melanie Switzer, Donna Steele, Sandra Lewis, Robin Ross, Madeline Tice, Carolyn Unger, Christina Tackcheck and her Mom, Kathy Heus, Olivia Tice and folks who saw the sign, saw us working and came into help. Special thanks goes to Vicki Johnston-Freese who pre-sorted all the books

We appreciate the location provided by Glenda Feeken of Re-Max Realty, the Kenai Fire Department for collecting books, the KCHS Honor Society Members for moving books, Dcor Furniture for the use of their van, the United Methodist Church of the New Covenant for the use of their tables, Napa for advertising the sale on their marquee, the City of Kenai for the loan of tables, the Economic Development District for book storage, the Kenai Senior Center for the loan of tables, the Kenai Central High School Library for the loan of media carts, McDonald's of Kenai for inserting advertising bag stuffers and providing coupons, the Kenai Eagles Aerie 3525 for providing tables, the Peninsula Clarion for contributing advertising space, Merrill Skikorski for the interviews and the Kenai Community Library for their support.
