What possible good can fountains be
Containing fills of copper coin]>
Whispered wants held in
Washed waters bluish clear?
There are people born of science and reason
That: teach for the time of onsensical goneto be here,
Rule that there be no wishes (like ones cast by wishers on
Pilgrimages or those of that gypsy sort).
They drain the waters and train great armies,
Capture and chain and dig out dirt,
Yellingcast them into the pits! with the pixies
and the dwarves and the elves and little red riding hood.
What possible good can reason be if reason does no good?
A rusted folgers coffee can
Speckled orange & red
Abandoned on a shelf
In a rotten & decrepit
Roofless wooden shack
Full to the brim
With green copper coins
Brown nails and smatterings of black
Leaves drowned beneath rainwater
