Morgan Marie Mize and Chad Eric Aldridge were married Saturday, June 3, 2006, at Lower Skilak Lake Campground in Sterling. Ron Aldridge, father of the groom, conducted the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Wayne and Mary Mize of Sterling. She is a 2000 graduate of Soldotna High School and a 2004 graduate of the University of Alaska Anchorage, graduating cum laude with a bachelor of arts degree in history while attending the university on a UA scholar’s scholarship. She works for Central Peninsula Counseling Services in Kenai.

The groom is the son of Ron and Chrissy Aldridge of Sterling and Dave and Regina Colby of Moyie Springs, Idaho. He is a 1997 graduate of Skyview High School and served for five years in the U.S. Navy as a Seabee. While in the military, he was stationed in five countries and helped with naval construction projects all over the world. He currently works for ASRC Energy on the North Slope and also works as a big game hunting guide for Caribou Unlimited.

The bridesmaids were Sondra Mize of Las Vegas, Brandi Aldridge of Soldotna and Emily Clark of Minneapolis, Minn.

The groomsmen were Brett Aldridge of Sterling, Jed Painter of Sterling and Don Adams of Anchorage.

The sister of the bride and family friend, Warren Stevens, sang a song chosen by the couple. Many guests and relatives attended from around the state and the Lower 48.

The couple enjoys fishing, hunting, hockey and walleyball. They live in Sterling.
