Anglers brought in several halibut over 220 pounds last week, but nobody was able to displace Don Uribe of Carmel Valley, Calif., as the leader of the Homer Jackpot Halibut Derby. Uribe boated his 250.2-pound halibut on June 6.
Still in second place is Tom Sharbono of Coeur dAlene, Idaho. Sharbono landed his 231.2-pound halibut on June 10.
New on the list is Jerry Knight of Riverton, Wyo. Wednesday, Knight caught a 229.6-pound fish that put him in third place. Knight is just ahead of Donna Shunko of Algoa, Texas, who caught a 229.0-pound fish on June 9.
Also new on the list is Ralph Spring of Meadville, Pa. Spring landed a 222.2-pound fish on June 19 to move into fifth place.
