Chamber meeting to feature KPC administrators

The Kenai Chamber of Commerce meeting at Paradisos Restaurant at noon today will feature Clayton Brockel, Ginger Steffy and Gary Turner from Kenai Peninsula College.

Board meeting scheduled at WRCC

Soldotna teen to compete for national title

2002 Skyview graduate Katie Lockwood of Soldotna will represent Alaska in the national finals for the title of America's Junior Miss, which will air live on the PAX cable channel Friday at 5 p.m. Contestants will be judged in scholastics, interview, talent, fitness and poise and will have the opportunity to win a share of more than $200,000 in cash scholarships.

Community services to offer free clinic

The Frontier Community Services Early Intervention will offer a free developmental screening clinic Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The screening is available for children ages birth up to 3 years. For more information, or to schedule an appointment, call Renie Aragon at 262-3144.

Chamber to judge patriotic decorations

The Seward Chamber of Commerce will award a $200 cash prize for the best Fourth of July decorations done by any resident or business. Judging will be July 3. You can nominate a friend, neighbor or yourself. For more information, call the chamber at (907) 224-8051.

Soldotna swim team inviting children to compete

The Soldotna Silver Salmon Swim Team is inviting children at least 6 years old who can swim one length of the pool to be a part of the summer competitive swimming program. Blood bank in need of donations

The Blood Bank of Alaska's Kenai Peninsula Center is in need of blood donations for all blood types. The center requires 2,000 donors per month and only has 743 for June. Regular, frequent blood donors are especially welcomed.
