Cub Scout day makes impact on participants

Posted: Thursday, June 26, 2008

It's always a wonderful feeling when a community comes together to help put on a quality program for our youth. I would like to extend my warmest thanks to the following people and businesses that supported our 2008 Cub Scout Day Camp: Kyle from Home Depot, Kathy East from the Challenger Learning Center of Alaska, Mary Bell from the Kenai Peninsula College Learning Center, Ben Langham from the Kenai Police Department, the Kenai Fire Department, Larry Hull, Travis from the Impact Area, Save-U-More and the Peninsula Archery Association.

Without the donations of time and supplies, this event would not have been possible.

The Great Alaska Council, Boy Scouts of America was pleased to hold its Tustumena District Day Camp in the city of Kenai. We had 2 1/2 wonderful days enjoying Kenai Municipal Park. We look forward to 2009. Thank you to all that participated and know how much your help is appreciated.
