JUNEAU (AP) -- The body of 16-year-old Travis Mason, lost after he was thrown from a personal watercraft Easter weekend, has been found.
A 47-year-old Juneau woman boating with her 8-year-old daughter near Fritz Cove discovered the boy's remains, according to Juneau State Trooper Sgt. Will Ellis.
The boy was riding on a personal watercraft operated by Diamond Bevegni, 20, in poor weather from north Douglas Island to a camp site on Little Suedla Island.
Ellis said the cause of death was drowning. The body was released to the family without an autopsy.
Bevegni suffered hypothermia in the incident.
