Seward Little League players have fun with Peninsula Oilers

Posted: Friday, June 27, 2003

I would like to thank the team players of the Peninsula Oilers, their coach, assistant coach, the driver and, yes, even the announcer for taking time to come to Seward and teach fundamentals of baseball. And Mike Baxter for always answering my phone calls and questions.

I also would like to thank Kyle Kain's mom, Corbin Hohl's mom and Dustin McHone's dad for staying around in the beginning to get the ball's flying; Trevor Olson's mom for helping at the lunch break and his dad for helping me with the equipment return; Peter Flemming's mom for being around to pick up the balls at the end of the day; the Mariners' coach and the Giants' coach for the use of the equipment; all the parents of the players that participated for filling out the form/waiver; and Flossie Markowitz of Subway sandwiches for the meal deal.

Last but not least, a big thanks to Ronda Holm, who asked me to help organize the clinic. Oh, and for those of you who I left out unintentionally, thanks.

It was a typical Seward day with rain, drizzle and then rain again. But, all was weathered well! Most importantly the kids had a great time. Please visit our Little League Web site via!
