The Kenai Watershed Forum's Summer Program continues Thursday with "Wild Wetlands!" presented by Mike Gracz, a Kenai Watershed Forum ecologist who has been mapping the wetlands of the western Kenai Peninsula.
As per usual, the program is free.
Those interested in the program should meet at Veronica's in Kenai at 6 p.m., where car pool arrangements will be made. The program is expected to last until 7:30 p.m.
Gracz will lead a look at area wetlands. He will be describing the important role wetlands play in our environment, as well as their unique characteristics. Learn about which plants occur where, and why. Rubber boots are highly suggested for the program.
It is suggested that those interested in the program contact the Kenai Watershed Forum in advance.
The contact person is Josselyn at 260-5449 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
