Support gets student to Colorado competition

Posted: Tuesday, June 27, 2006

Who would have thought Fort Collins, Colo., was an international hotbed for countries to come together for some friendly competition? On June 1-4, it hosted the Future Problem Solving International competition.

The topic was the Redistribution of Wealth. I was honored to be there to represent Alaska as the junior individual competitor.

It was an amazing place to be and I would like to thank the following businesses for their financial support. Without their help Alaska wouldn’t have had a competitor in the junior individual competition.

The following is a list the companies and individuals that so kindly supported me: AA Dan’s Construction, Beemun’s, Jack Carver-Jack’s Rentals, Jenna Hansen (my sister gave me her birthday money), Judene Van Cleave, Lori Manion, Mike Peek, Nikiski Chamber of Commerce and Sharon Burdick.

I would also like to add a special thanks to Phil Nash, for helping me.
