A Kenai grand jury indicted a Kasilof man Friday on 24 criminal counts ranging from sexual abuse of a minor to possession of child pornography.

Charles R. Williams, 37, has been accused of sexually abusing a 15-year-old male in his home in Kasilof and former home in Nikiski and a 13-year-old male in his home in Kasilof. The abuses Williams has been charged with occurred over the course of approximately two years, starting sometime in 2004 and ending in May 2006, according to court documents.

The charges include six counts of first-degree sexual abuse of a minor, five counts of second-degree sexual abuse of a minor, one count of attempted sexual abuse of a minor in the second degree, two counts of indecent exposure in the first degree and 10 counts of possession of child pornography.

According to court documents, some of the abuses occurred in a computer room in Williams’ residence, where Williams is accused of looking at child pornography and showing it to the minors.

Williams has been charged with sexual abuses that include penetration and genital fondling.

Alaska State Troopers received a report of possible sexual abuses perpetrated by Williams, who is a volunteer with the Young Marines, on June 11.

During an investigation, troopers received a search warrant and seized Williams’ computer, on which they found 13 photos and one video of male and female adolescents lewdly exposing their genitals and/or engaging in sexual intercourse with adult males. Williams is being held at Wildwood Pretrial Facility on $100,000 bail. Arraignment is scheduled for today.
