Sterling area resident Gregory William Corse died Monday, June 21, 2010 at his home near Sterling. He was 63.

Mr. Corse was born Jan. 22, 1947 in Berkeley, Calif. He moved to Sterling in 1979, where he operated Alaska Mountainview Cabins with his wife, Hannah.
He loved to hunt, fish, gold pan, and was drawn to numerous adventures.
"Gregory Corse was gifted with the most free and generous heart. He was instilled with a creativity and artistic ability that led him to become a master carpenter and craftsman, which is displayed by his many years of work designing and building the legacy that he left behind. He was very loved and will be deeply missed," his family said.
Mr. Corse was preceded in death by his wife, Hannah. He is survived by his daughter, Hinda M. Corse; grandson, Nicholas J. Short; sister, Mary Corse; nephew, Gregory Solberg; step-daughters, Juniper and Jessica Neill.
Arrangements were by Peninsula Memorial Chapel in Kenai.
