Canadian, U.S. Navy ships visiting capital

JUNEAU (AP) -- Crews from a U.S. Navy oiler and two Canadian Coastal Defense vessels plan to take part in Fourth of July festivities in Juneau.

The 795-foot USS Camden is scheduled to moor at the U.S. Coast Guard pier in Juneau on Tuesday with its 705-person crew. The ship's crew, based in Bremerton, Wash., will participate in Juneau's Fourth of July parade and remain here through July 6.

The Canadian ships Brandon, Yellowknife and Whitehorse were visiting Juneau on Thursday and Friday, while the Saskatoon and Nanaimo are to visit the capital city Monday through July 5.
