The friends and family of Susan Peterson of Kenai are pleased to announce that we have a genuine heroine in our midst.
Susan was a perfect donor type for her father, George Autsch of Denver, who had been on dialysis for two years and needed a kidney transplant in order to survive.
Susan never hesitated. She traveled to Denver and, on April 6, donated a kidney to her father. They are both doing well, and Susan is back to work.
Nice going, Susan, and thanks to all those heroes and heroines who have made the same sacrifice.
Bob and Pat Reilly
Thank you so much to the three ladies who found my purse in the aisle at Fred Meyer, Soldotna, and turned it into the customer service desk.
My sister-in-law and I were putting a large cooler in the cart and apparently I set my purse down to have both hands free. Usually, my purse never leaves my sight or side, but this time was different. I had made my way down several aisles before I heard my name paged.
We were flying out that night. It would have been a disaster if my purse would have been picked up by a dishonest person.
You ladies are angels!
