KKC members shine at Fairbanks dog show

Several Kenai Kennel Club members participated in the Tanana Valley Kennel Club's Dog Show and Obedience Trials held over Memorial Day weekend in Fairbanks, where dogs participated in American Kennel Club sanctioned events.

In the following results, a "major" is a 3-, 4- or 5-point win at a show. KKC members who received awards at the Fairbanks show were:

Champion Aim-Hi With Flying Colours "Teal," a golden retriever owned and bred by Beverly Nolan, was Best of Opposite Sex on May 29 and was Best of Opposite Sex on May 31.

Champion Lalasa's Steppin Out with Tarma's "Stryder," a miniature dachshund owned by Kelly Otto, Laura Pabst and Leslie Batchelder, won Best of Breed on May 29 and took Best of Breed on May 31.

Sharakila Taaffe "Taaffe," a Cavalier King Charles spaniel owned by Konrad and Mary Jackson, was awarded a 3-point major and took Best of Breed over a Special on May 29 and was awarded a 3-point major and took Best of Winners on May 31.

Tarma's Victor Wooten MS "Stretch," a miniature dachshund owned by Tarma Grooming (Leslie and Stephani Batchelder) took Best of Breed of Specials on May 29 and finished his American Championship with a Best of Breed Over Specials on May 30.

Aim-Hi Flyte of Fantasy "Sadie," a golden retriever co-owned and bred by Beverly Nolan and Michel Rumon, was Winners Bitch on May 29.

Aim-Hi's Flying to the Hoop "Kobe," a golden retriever bred by Beverly Nolan and owned by Kelsey and T&D Dunn, was Reserve Winners Dog on May 29 and was Reserve Winners Dog on May 31.

American-Canadian Champion Shiloh's LuCee In Disguise CGC, "LuCee," a yellow Labrador retriever owned by Sherrie Petty, finished her American Championship with a 4-point major and won Best of Opposite Sex on May 30.

American-Canadian Champion Shiloh's Scenic Sundancer "Sundancer," a yellow Labrador retriever owned by Sherrie Petty, took Best of Breed on May 30.

American-Canadian Champion Beulahlands Rebekah of Shiloh, CD NA NAJ, "Bekah," a yellow Labrador retriever owned by Sherrie Petty, won the Novice B Obedience Class and then was High In Trial on May 30.

Champion Tonsina Bellatrix of Wenrick "Fancy," a whippet owned by Pat Moss, took Best of Breek and a Group 1 to compet in Best of Show on May 30 and took Best of Breed and a Group 3 on May 31.

Tarma The Supreme Girl ML "Elisabeth," a miniature dachshung owned by Leslie Batchelder, was awarded a 5-point major and took Best of Breed Over Specials on May 30 and finished her American Championship with a 4-point major and won Winners Bitch and Best of Opposite Sex on May 31.

Tarma Louis Armstrong MS "Satchmo," a miniature dachshund owned by Teri Chambers, Leslie Batchelder and Stephani Batchelder, took Reserve Winner on May 31.
