Billy Dean Wells
Nikiski resident Billy Dean Wells died Friday, June 23, 2006, at Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage. He was 59.
A private service will be held in his honor.
Mr. Wells was born Oct. 8, 1946, in Long Beach, Calif. He moved to Alaska in 1995 and worked in canneries for two years and then became disabled and was not able to continue working.
Mr. Wells enjoyed country music, listening to CB radio and spending time with his dog, Susie.
“Billy was dearly loved by his sisters, nieces, nephews and sons. We will cherish his memories,” his family said.
Mr. Wells was preceded in death by his father, Grover, and mother, Dorothy.
He is survived by his sons, Joseph Wells and his wife, Heather, of Lee’s Summit, Mo., and Kenneth Wells of Stover, Mo.; sisters, Judy Miller of Nikiski and Carol Costilow and her husband, James; nieces and nephews, James Jr., Sarah, Jennifer and Angela Costilow and Valerie Eakin and her husband, Aaron, all of Mira Loma, Calif., Christopher Miller and his wife, Amber, of Kenai and William Miller and his wife, Kari of Spokane, Wash.; great-nieces and nephews, Alexis Miller of Spokane, Felicity Eakin of Mira Loma and Josiah Miller of Kenai; and granddaughter, Madeline Wells of Lee’s Summit.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to the Miller Family, c/o Chris Miller, 53291 English Ave., Kenai, AK 99611.
Arrangements were made by Peninsula Memorial Chapel in Kenai.
