Monster fish landed for the lead

David Gapp of Andover, Minn., took the lead in the Homer Jackpot Halibut Derby Monday with a 322.2-pound fish.
Gapp was fishing with Captain Don Doan on the M/V Miss Minmar of Halibut-King Charters.
He donated part of his catch to the Homer Senior Center and South Peninsula Hospital.
The derby will continue until Labor Day.
