A motor home went off the shoulder of the Sterling Highway about Mile 104 and burst into flames late Monday afternoon, sending its lone occupant to the hospital with non-threatening injuries.
For reasons yet to be determined, the northbound motor home left the road and hit a culvert. Alaska State Trooper Cornelius "Moose" Sims said that the "older style" mobile home's cab and rear end "seperated" after leaving the roadway.
The accident remained under investigation.
