Mrs. Jackson was born June 27, 1941, to Walter Lee Hampton and Rena Bea Heathcoat in Kaufman, Texas. She graduated from Athens High School in the class of 1959. She was a member of the Soldotna Church of God in Soldotna. Othella loved cooking, baking, sewing, crafts, spending time with her family, doing puzzles, and loved her two dogs, Izzy and Thomas.

"Momma was a giving person. She always gave her all in everything she did. She was "adopted" by many people over the years who also called her "Momma," her family said.
