Area woman indicted on charges of theft, forgery

A 20-year-old central Kenai Peninsula woman was indicted on 25 criminal counts involving theft and forging more than $3,000 in checks allegedly committed between April 5 and June 9.

Nicole M. Lee, 20, was indicted Friday on 18 counts of second-degree forgery, two counts of second-degree theft and one count of fraudulent use of an access device all class C felonies.

She also was indicted on three counts of third-degree theft, a class A misdemeanor; and one count of fourth-degree theft, a class B misdemeanor.

Lee is in custody at the Wildwood Correctional Facility and bail is set at $25,000 cash plus a third-party custodian.

Arraignment has been set for Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. in Kenai Superior Court.
